Michael is a Canadian Sport Massage Therapy Association candidate who graduated Dean’s List from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy (VCMT). He also holds a Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of Northern British Columbia. Always on the lookout for the best way to treat the source of injury rather than the symptoms, Michael is keen to get clients feeling their best so they can get out into the world and perform.

When delivering treatments, Michael relies on deep tissue massage, trigger point release, stretch modalities, joint mobilizations, dynamic release, myofascial release, and Swedish massage to achieve therapeutic outcomes. Since graduating, he has taken courses in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), Soft Tissue Release by Bilotta, Athletic Taping, and Sports First Aid & Concussion Management to bolster his toolkit.

Outside of the clinic, Michael enjoys basketball and pursues powerlifting competitively. While these sports aren’t exactly complimentary at a glance, he feels the experience between sports demanding rigidity versus favoring mobility is highly valuable. Michael makes it a goal to participate in as many different sports and forms of exercise as possible to better understand what the demands of each activity are like on the clients’ bodies.
